this weekend on saturday night i went out for dinner with some of my family to celebrate my birthday..my birthday isn't until the 24th..but i'm going to be away next weekend...and the weekend OF my birthday..i usually go out drinking with me friends...sooo...this was really the only one we could do :)..we were supposed to go to a place called the charcoal steak house...had a reservation for 7pm...its in a place that has i think 3 different restaurants under one roof...anwyays..we get there at 7...go to the desk..no reservation..they check again..no reservation...WEIRD...we're NOT happy..anyways..the girl at the desk says..hold on..i'll call downstairs and see if they have a reservation for you at the other restaurant...sure enough..7pm reservation...DOWNSTAIRS....at Del Dente...some mediteranian/italian restaurant..NOT the charcoal steak house...we're seriously..NOT impressed...guess they had someone new taking the reservations..and she got her wires crossed...anyways..they wouldn't/couldn't find us a table upstairs...so we ended up having to settle for the restaurant downstairs..anyways..to make a long story short...my dad was pissed...asked for the managers business card so he could call him on monday and file a complaint...we go downstairs..get our table..and the manager comes up and apologises...tells us that even tho we have to sit in this restaurant downstairs..he will bring us menu's from the steak house..and we can order anything we want from it...YUM!!!...to make things EVEN BETTER...we were all told to order appetizers from the del dente menu..and our appetizers would be on the house...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! anyways..my dad still had the managers business card..but now he is planning on calling monday to say how great and accomodating the staff was :)..*whew*...that was a lot of typing...guess i didn't really make this long story short...hehehe....here are some pictures :)

i couldn't get enough of this bread..and they served it with 3 different spreads...garlic and herb butter...hummus...and apple cinnamon butter..mmmmm
my caesar salad was sooooooooo good..it had sooooooo much garlic in it that it was burning my tongue...yumyum :) and fresh baked garlic croutons...yumyum..and lots big bits of bacon..yumyum.
here is my steak..yumyum..it was cooked a little too much..but i was tooo hungry to bitch much...lookit the cute little wee zucchini..hehehe it was yummy in my tummy :D
this is what was left when i was finished..i didn't like the squash..or the broiled tomato...bla!! ahhahaha
since we were celebrating my birthday..i got this super extra delish dessert...mmm the bottom was a sugar cone triangle...and then it was a chewy brownie cupcake thinger...with vanilla icecream and whipped cream...drizzled there its chocolate sauce, and raspberry and mango puree....!!!! and LOOK!! i'm ONE!! yippee!!
