last night i had a really good night :) in Guelph here, we have a really huge park called Riverside Park..and every christmas season, lots of big companies in town make really pretty chistmas light displays..and they all get put up in the big huge park, and everyone in town can go and look at all the pretty sparkly lights :)..i went with my friend Cori, her son, her friend, and my mama..it was pretty chilly..but all the pretty lights, and rockin christmas tunes more than made up for my cold little nose :)..after the lights we went and had hot chocolate and donuts....mmmmm....i have some pictures to share with you.....(big surprise huh?!) sooo...it seems like blogger is being crazy and not letting me upload pictures at the moment..so i'll do it with hello...and post them all individually :)

ok, here goes..i was tagged by Sherry..who i am assuming also tagged garyD...who in turn tagged me AGAIN..so two tags in as many days...dear lord what did i do to deserve this....so here they are..for sherry and gary..i'll do it all in one post....5 random facts about me that not many people know.....

#1...my parents own a karaoke machine..and a large collection of karaoke CDS..and sometimes when they aren't at home..i go over..and sing every Madonna song that they have in their collection.

#2...i have a tattoo above my bellybutton that i got when i was 19..it doesn't look the greatest anymore, but i'm never having it removed, and i'm never having it touched up because it means too much to me.

#3...i eat at least one chocolate bar everyday..most times it is the first solid food that i put in my belly...mmmm chocolate for breakfast.

#4...i really really like to put on Kelly Clarksons "Since You've Been Gone" and sing into anything that is handy and resembles a microphone..and i can do it 50 times in a row....(shhhh)

#5..i have a nose problem...and i snore..and sometimes i even wake myself up...(i thank my father for that one...)..i could have some kind of operation to fix it..but apparantely it hurts like hell..and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work.

i went to a show tonight here in guelph..i have to say..one of the best shows i've seen in a long long time..maybe even in my life..hahaha..was 3 different bands...The D'ubervilles..out of guelph..Frontier Index....(sooooo goood)..and The Sadies..(oh my fucking god)..i killed the battery in my digi cam from taking toooo many pictures...hahaha..the venue was soooo small..i think there was maybe 100 people there..tops..i had a great spot..right up at the stage..yay for me! my ears are ringing...u would think i might have learnt from past shows that earplugs are essential :( but no...guess i should say hello to more permanent ear damage :( woe is me...that is all..goodnight.

here are a few pictures from my mamas birthday..here i am..singing my little heart out, i'm surprised that she looks like she's happy..and that her eyes aren't wide with horror, her hands covering her ears is sheer agony...hahaha

that picture is me doing what i do best..eatting..the cake was deeeeeelicious..dreamy to be exact..haha...caramel dream to be even more exact.

mama got lots of nice presents..so nice that i actually tried to make off with some of them..

i made a run for the front door..but my dad cut me off halfway there...
tried to make another run through the kitchen and out the side door...sadly..i tripped on some shoes and almost went flying down the stairs..i'm sorry..but no-one was quick enough to grab a shot of that...finally..i gave up..and left with a piece of cake...mmmm i love cake.

almost forgot.

i'll share with you my most stupid part of my weekend..hahaha..typical nicki..to say the least..my friend Brian dropped me off to meet liz..and i walk into this great little coffee shop..i'm looking around..poking my head here and there and everywhere..looking for that one familiar face..i went to turn around then someone caught my eye..it was liz way back in the far corner...so i swing around again to walk to the back and sit down..and WHAM smashed heads with the poor girl who was working there..hahaha..go figure..i can never go anywhere without injuring myself..or someone else for that matter..hahaha did you catch that liz? i'm such a clutz..haha

well..i think i'm 95% recovered from my weekend in the big city..haha..u might remember earlier on i posted about going to see a show in Toronto...it was friday night....VERY good times..very VERY good time :) it was one of my favourite shows i've seen in a long long time..hooray..the weather was really cold..and super blowy..we were right by the lake..the show got finished sometime around 1230...(i think..i don't REALLY remember)..anyways..we had to catch a cab home..walked outside of the club..and i was almost picked up by the wind and dropped right into the lake..its a good thing i was quick to grab a gaurd rail..or i would have been a nicki-cicle by now..and THAT would have been sad...here are a few pictures from the show. .along with one of me...freezing my ass off..because i just couldn't LIVE without having a smoke..hahaha ...anyways..that was friday night..saturday was a good day as well!! went out for breakfast with my friend Brian, then to the Eaton Centre..it was only my second time being there..its was alright..i'm not a really HUGE mall shopper tho..the shopping that i did later in the afternoon with liz and andie was MUCH MUCH better...and definitely cuter..we walked around for hours in the freezing cold..i think it took hours to defrost..but for me..it was worth it..i don't get into the city toooo much..so it was nice to have tour guides who knew what the heck they were doing..thanks for showing me cuteness :) much appreciated!! anyways..its my mamas double nickles today..so i should really get going to visit!!!!!!! bye bye!!

FUCKING HELL!

tonight i spent a lovely night with my step-brother...at the mall..helping him with his christmas shopping...man..what a fucking experience..he had NO list...NO idea who he was shopping for..NO idea what he wanted to buy for WHOEVER it was he was shopping for...he wandered around aimlessly..shot down EVERY fucking idea i had....he mumbled the WHOLE fucking time..and i had to ask him to repeat every sentence that he spoke...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHH!!....that is all...until i calm down a little.

some days..

i think i have way too much time on my hands..today was one of those days..i woke up early..didn't have to work until 2..so i sat around and went through some of the boxes that i didn't go through when i moved..i also put my media player on shuffle..and wouldn't you know it..every fucking sad and depressing song that i own...played..one..after..the..other..and who was too stupid to turn those weepy..make me feel like i'm all alone in this world songs off? ME..yes..that would be me....thank me very much...what a way to ruin a perfectly good day.

YUMMY BARS...make em! make em! DOOO IT!

Chewy Eatmore Bars

Makes about 24

3/4 cup honey
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1/2 cups mini marshmallows
3 cups rice krispies
1 cup salted peanuts

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt together the honey and peanut butter and bring to a boil. Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows, stirring until smooth. Add the cereal and peanuts. Blend well and remove from heat. Pour into a lightly greased 9x13 inch pan and pat firmly with spatula. Let cool slightly and cut into bars before hardening.

Holy CRAP!! These are SOOOOOOOO good..i just finished them..and i want to eat them all...right now..hahaha.

well...just finished eatting turkey with my mama and all her sisters and their husbands..a house full of 20 people..i ate so much..i think i'm going to burst...i also got the pleasure of playing santa-nicki..hurr-fuckin-ay...my santa hat is making me itch because its so damn hot in here...ugh.

ok...

so..it seems like i am losing my mind..my mom called me tonight..around 8ish...and she's going on about how she was off all day...cleaning her house...getting ready for her big party tomorrow night...(she has 7 sisters and a brother...and she's having a christmas dinner for them all)...and about how her friend Kathi came over and her sister Glenna came over as well today to help her do all this work...then......she asks...where were you? Where was i? well...i was at home..in my pjs..curled up in bed..enjoying a mid afternoon nap..yes....yes i was..i GUESS..that i was supposed to be at her house helping her clean...and i GUESS that we had a big conversation about it last week...and i GUESS that i either..i wasn't really in my body at the time of the conversation..that i was off floating around in some other far away land...OR..i'm losing my mind..because i have ABSOLUTELY no recollection of this conversation....AT ALL...interesting.
